Gulland Padfield has been shortlisted in two categories for WealthBriefing European Awards 2015 for its ‘outstanding thought leadership contribution’ to the European Wealth Management industry

To be shortlisted as one of the leading thinkers in this industry is a terrific acknowledgement of that commitment.

James Edsberg of f Gulland Padfield is nominated for an individual award by Wealth Briefing for his ‘outstanding contribution to thought leadership in the Wealth Management sector’. Speaking about the announcement, James said, Today’s Private Banking sector is looking for new perspectives. As advisors to many of the leading Private banks and Wealth firms, our role is to provide that new direction and to challenge constructively the way things have been done in the past in the area of client focus and its relationship to business strategy. We sincerely want to make a substantial contribution to the transformation that this industry is experiencing. And I’m delighted that our team’s work and our clients’ endeavours in the area of Client Strategy have been recognised.

The WealthBriefing European Awards 2015 highlight best practice and innovation in the European Wealth Management and Private Banking sector. The awards are judged by an independent panel of senior executives from Private Banks and Wealth Management firms and industry experts.

The Publisher of WealthBriefing, Stephen Harris, said I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations to Gulland Padfield and all the shortlisted companies. These awards recognise the very best firms and advisors to the private client industry. ‘Independence’, ‘integrity’ and ‘genuine insight’ are the watchwords of the judging process. These companies truly reflect excellence in Wealth Management.

Gulland Padfield was shortlisted in two categories.

OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO WEALTH MANAGEMENT THOUGHT LEADERSHIP (COMPANY CONTRIBUTION)
This award category recognises consulting firms who have made an ‘outstanding contribution to thought leadership in the European Wealth Management sector’. Gulland Padfield’s insights and research explore the link between a wealth firm’s business strategy and its client strategy. Through a series of articles, published research papers and perspectives shared with its clients, Gulland Padfield aims to pioneer new thinking at board level and among teams with direct responsibility for client relationship management, product development and organisation-wide transformation around the client experience.

OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO WEALTH MANAGEMENT THOUGHT LEADERSHIP (INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTION)
This award category recognises individuals who have made an ‘outstanding contribution to thought leadership in the European Wealth Management sector’. James Edsberg is shortlisted in this category. He is the author of the Client Centric Index (www.clientcentricindex.com), the world’s first on-line diagnostic designed to help management teams assess how client focused their organisation is. He has worked with many leading Private Banks and Wealth Management firms on their business and client strategy. James’ articles and media commentary look at the ways in which firms can become institutionally client-focused and transform their performance and profitability. His latest article challenges whether the often-used phrase, ‘The Trusted Advisor’ best describes today’s relationship between client and advisor in the wealth sector.

The Winners will be announced at a gala dinner at The Guildhall in London on 30 April 2015.
